Carolina Herrera is a globally recognized luxury fashion and fragrance house, renowned for timeless elegance and bold sophistication. As part of Puig’s portfolio, the brand is a leader in the fragrance industry, with a strong presence in international markets.

During Carolina Herrera’s participation in the 37th America’s Cup in Barcelona, we were tasked with building a digital layer for a real-world brand installation — a premium experience aboard a yacht designed to showcase their fragrance line.

This was a limited, exclusive brand event — with high attention to detail and the need to deliver a seamless interaction between physical design and digital technology.

Bridging Software and Hardware in a High-End Setting

To deliver a premium, interactive brand moment, we developed a custom iPad applicationconnected to physical sensors and switches onboard the boat. The app controlled various stages of the user experience — adapting the digital interface in real time based on physical triggers such as fragrance drawer openings.

This blend of hardware integration and real-time UI made it possible to deliver a tightly choreographed, multi-sensory experience — without requiring attendees to handle any devices themselves.

Experience Design & Delivery

The content of the iPad app included animations, product storytelling, and elegant transitions between moments — each synchronized with the real-world environment. The interaction logic was simple and reliable, designed for non-technical hosts to operate seamlessly throughout the event.

The entire system was designed for stability and autonomy, requiring no external connection or ongoing support — ensuring that the experience remained fully under control regardless of internet conditions or location.

Strategic Value

This project demonstrated how software can elevate physical brand activations. By integrating hardware triggers with digital storytelling, we created a memorable and sophisticated experience — designed to leave a lasting impression on an exclusive, high-value audience.
